State legislative activity
Recently, the governor signed the following bills of interest into law:
- Dispensing of controlled substances by emergency departments – Chapter 466 of the Laws of 2024
- Flu vaccine requirement – Chapter 492 of the Laws of 2024
- Medicaid coverage for prenatal testing – Chapter 474 of the Laws of 2024
- Information for maternity patients – Chapter 464 of the Laws of 2024
- Intravenous contrast media – Chapter 476 of the Laws of 2024
- Physician assistants – Chapter 520 of the Laws of 2024
The governor vetoed the following bills:
- Patient records – Veto No. 27
- Primary care practitioners for Medicaid managed care – Veto No. 52
- Hospital-home care-physician collaboration program – Veto No. 44
