New HANYS-supported bill would preserve hospital Medicaid DSH caps

This week,  Reps. Nick LaLota (R-NY), Yvette Clarke (D-NY), Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Doris Matsui (D-CA), Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Frank Mrvan (D-IN) introduced H.R. 9351, the Save our Safety-Net Hospitals Act. The bill would amend Sec. 203 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 to allow hospitals to count dual eligibles and other patients with 3rd party payers in their individual DSH caps.
