HANYS testifies at joint legislative hearing of the Senate Finance and Assembly Ways and Means committees

"Our members’ number one priority is providing their patients with access to the high-quality care they need, when they need it. So today I am here to urge you to ensure that state funding and policy priorities address the needs of the healthcare system we have today and help us build toward the system we must have in the very near future to meet increasing and changing patient healthcare needs." State legislative activity

This week the following bills passed both houses:

  • Utilization review step therapy protocols chapter amendment – (A.443/S.2676)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations chapter amendment – (A.1475/S.2675)
  • Maternal health care and birthing standards workgroup chapter amendment – (A.914/S.813)

Please use our Significant State Legislation tool to browse all bills of interest that passed both houses, were signed into law or were vetoed during the 2025 session. Chapter amendments will not appear in the tool.
