New report shows New York’s hospitals continue to face significant fiscal, workforce and payer challenges

A median 0.0% operating margin, with 3 in 4 hospitals lacking funding needed to reinvest in patient care — these are some of the findings of this year’s joint hospital association fiscal report. The survey is an annual effort of HANYS, GNYHA, HAWCNY, IHA and SHANYS. The associations urge policymakers to continue to support New Yorkers' access to care.
