FEMA updates guidance, deadlines for COVID-19 PA funding
According to the guidance, costs incurred after the public health emergency ends May 11 will not be eligible for COVID-19 Public Assistance funding. However, FEMA will provide an additional 90 days after the PHE for completion of work related to demobilization, disposition and disposal activities. Additionally, FEMA has extended the COVID-19-related employee support costs deadline until June 30; a process for hospitals to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding for these newly eligible expenses is not yet finalized.
