DataGen team members’ case study explores trends in sepsis, pneumonia during pandemic
Recently published in The American Journal of Managed Care, the study explores cost and utilization changes for sepsis and pneumonia in non-COVID-19 episodes before and during the pandemic, as well as during the pandemic for patients with and without COVID-19. Alyssa Dahl, senior director of advanced analytics, DataGen, and John Kalamaras, director of business intelligence analytics, DataGen, co-authored the report with experts from the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Spotlight on Saint Joseph’s Medical Center
Working with local EMS and government agencies, they developed a suicide prevention and crisis response center. The Westchester-based response center connects New Yorkers to trained, local crisis counselors to help with behavioral health crises and suicide prevention and community services for support and recovery.
