HANYS urges legislators to invest in, protect New York hospitals and health systems
HANYS President Bea Grause testified at the joint legislative public hearing on health this week saying, “New York’s healthcare providers urgently need you to make new investments, enact common sense policies and protect them from any new cuts or costs.” Read her full written testimony on our website.
HANYS’ Healthcare Advocacy Day connects legislators with hospital, health system leaders
Virtually and in person, we had engaging and informative conversations with legislative leaders and committee chairs during our Healthcare Advocacy Day — a critical part of the work we do year-round to advocate for New York's hospitals and health systems. We will continue our advocacy push, especially in the next month, and urge all HANYS members to engage with their representatives using our advocacy tools to support that outreach.

CMS issues fact sheet on end of PHE
The fact sheet addresses “CMS waivers, flexibilities and the transition forward from the COVID-19 public health emergency” and is part of ongoing efforts to provide up-to-date information on how to prepare for the end of the PHE. Additional updates can be found on the CMS website.
