HANYS thanks Gov. Hochul for veto of “wrongful death” bill
If enacted, the bill would have increased medical liability costs and made it more difficult for providers to deliver care to patients and their loved ones. In her statement, HANYS President Bea Grause, RN, JD, reaffirmed that “HANYS stands ready to work with policy leaders and other interested parties to fix New York’s broken medical liability system to ensure fairness and justice for all New Yorkers.”
