HANYS Marketplace partners with Retrieve Medicalâ„¢ to help hospitals improve care and documentation for geriatric emergency departments
The newest HANYS Marketplace partner’s Retrieve GED tool uses the latest technology to ensure the most accurate clinical protocols for documentation while helping teams more effectively monitor risk assessments and perform older adult-specific screening.
Earn Age-Friendly Health System recognition at no cost
HANYS members and non-members are invited to join the New York State Age-Friendly Health Systems Action Community to earn IHI’s Age-Friendly Health System designation in 2023. In a survey of our 2022 action community, 100% of respondents “agreed” or “strongly agreed” that participating improved their ability to put 4Ms care into practice. Participation, including all webinars, coaching and resources, is free and health systems may apply for a $10,000 stipend to support their work.
FEMA releases COVID-19 duplication of benefits guidance
The guidance outlines FEMA’s process for identifying COVID-19 Public Assistance funding “duplication of benefits,” or expenses for which funding has already been received from another source. HANYS commented on the proposed guidance in September.
CMS releases new No Surprises Act dispute resolution form
CMS’s new web form replaces all existing methods for submitting Notice of Offers to certified Independent Dispute Resolution entities under the NSA. The new semi-customized form is intended to reduce the burden for disputing parties and certified IDR entities.
