State legislative activity update
This week the following bills of interest were approved by Gov. Hochul:
- Information regarding sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (Chapter 505 of the Laws of 2022)
- DOH Office of Health Equity (Chapter 523 of the Laws of 2022)
- Physical therapy assistant licensure (Chapter 511 of the Laws of 2022)
- Private right of actions in residential health care facilities (Chapter 502 of the Laws of 2022)

CMS releases new No Surprises Act resources
CMS launched a new webpage with resources and guidance on the dispute resolution process under the NSA. They also increased the functionality of the portal for initiating federal disputes, including the ability to upload supporting documentation.
