CIC® Exam Preparation Study Group

This event is open to HANYS members, NYSACC members and non-members.
HANYS has partnered with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology and the New York State APIC Coordinating Council to offer a CIC® Exam Preparation Study Group. This series of eight, one-hour interactive sessions will be facilitated by infection preventionists from APIC, NYSACC and organizations throughout New York state to provide resources for infection prevention professionals planning to take the CIC® exam.
All sessions will be held from 2 - 3 p.m.
Session dates and topics:
- Aug. 24 | The CIC Exam/test-taking tips and strategies
- Sept. 14 | Identification of infectious disease processes
- Sept. 28 | Surveillance and epidemiologic investigation
- Oct. 12 | Preventing/controlling the transmission of infectious agents
- Oct. 26 | Employee/occupational health
- Nov. 9 | Management and communication/education and research
- Nov. 30 | Environment of care
- Dec. 7 | Cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, asepsis
The registration fee of $150 per person includes all live virtual sessions, the APIC Certification Study Guide and a discount code for 10% off on the APIC CIC® Power Prep virtual course to be held in December.
