HANYS complex case discharge delay data pilot

HANYS is undertaking an initiative to collect data to support advocacy on complex case discharge delays. Currently, there is limited knowledge of the number of patients impacted and reasons for prolonged discharge delay in New York state. Members are invited to participate in a complex case discharge delay data collection pilot to help demonstrate the scope of this growing problem.
Hospitals that volunteer to participate in the data collection pilot will complete the following activities:
- attend our one-hour kick-off webinar on March 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. (recording will be available);
- sign up for a HANYS data portal account; and
- submit data on a sample of patients experiencing discharge delays at least monthly from April to June 2022.
