How Behavioral Health Providers Can Help Reduce Hospitalizations and Re-Hospitalizations for DSRIP Performing Provider Systems
September 23, 2014
10 - 11 a.m.
This webinar, co-sponsored by HANYS and several behavioral health groups as part of the Cross-Continuum Association Waiver Group, will cover the “1915(i)-like” behavioral health services that will be increasingly available in 2015. The state is providing $1.3 billion to support community-based behavioral health interventions. These funds are outside of the $6.4 billion DSRIP program, and can help behavioral health organizations provide community-based services when working with Performing Provider Systems on behavioral health projects.
Faculty will include:
- Lauri Cole, New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare
- John Coppola, Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York
- Toni Lasicki, Association for Community Living
- Harvey Rosenthal and Briana Gilmore, New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services
- Glenn Liebman and John Richter, Mental Health Association of New York State
The faculty will cover the comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services available, how these services can stabilize the health and self-management of people with serious behavioral health and health conditions, and how the organizations providing these services can be integrated into DSRIP projects.
